PI Vision Custom Symbol : HISTOGRAM
Description
The PI Vision custom symbol Histogram is a bar chart that shows a graphical representation of numerical data's distribution.
This symbol is event-weighted, and works with PI tags and PI AF attributes.

- Number of bars
- Show / Hide the title
- Choose the type of title :
- Data source name
- Data source path (for PI AF attributes)
- Custom text
- Show / Hide the data source UOM
- Include a column for cumulative count of all NaN values (Not a Number)
- Choose the X-axis scale range
- Database range (= range of archived values that belong to the timespan selected in the PI Vision display)
- Fixed range (min value, max value)
- X-axis labels :
- Orientation (Horizontal / Vertical)
- Number of decimals

A button in the configuration panel allows to reset the histogram configuration to its default values.

This custom symbol is compatible with PI Vision 2017 R2 or later.

Asset switching
This custom symbol is fully compatible with the asset switching feature.
Data retrieval
Fully based on Data Services (like core PI Vision symbols).
Do NOT require PI Web API.
The limitation to the number of records retrieved has been unlocked to 100 000 000 events, but can be tuned to your specific needs.
Dependencies
The charting library is open-source, and is bundled in this package.
No link to other external libraries.
No polyfill required.
